MAR 27, 2012 - Drew Johnson, Jordan Schaefer, and Joey Spino to Help ISU Paintball Finish the Season
Thank you to all those that came to practice and tried out. Everyone showed great potential for the tournament team and it leaves us in a great position for next season. All three were selected to fill our Class A X-ball event on March 31 in Crete, IL. Each one demonstrated strong field awareness, aggressive movement, and a good understanding of the format and style of play. Joey Spino was also selected for the NCPA National Championships at the end of the season. We look forward to a strong finish to the 2011-2012 season!
MAR 25, 2012 - Tournament Tryouts at Pekin Paintball Park
The ISU Paintball team hosted tryouts for those interested in competing for the rest of the season at Pekin Paintball Park. We had a large turn out for practice, with ISU Paintball Alumni Nick DeMasi, Chris Galat, and Michael Kodat coming down to from the northern part of Illinois to play. All in all it was a great day of play followed by team pictures on the ISU quad.
MAR 10, 2012 - ISU Paintball Social Media Pages
A Team Facebook Page and Twitter Page have been created as part of the team's recruitment efforts. We hope that our use of social media will further spread the awareness of our organization and help establish a variety of ways to communicate with those outside of our organization. These are not pages in which players will locate team information and hold discussions as we have separate pages and forums for those matters.

FEB 27, 2012 - ISU Paintball Launches Spring Recruitment
With the weather beginning to warm up and some recent roster changes leaving the team in bad shape for the rest of the tournament season, ISU Paintball began heavy recruitment efforts to find players to help them finish off the season. In addition to tournament player recruitment, the team also launched its recreational player recruitment to start building a team for the remainder of this season that will hopefully last through the summer and continue when the 2012-2013 season starts in August.
We received a lot more interest in our organization than we anticipated. Within a week of campus flyers and mailbox stuffers placed in the dorms there were about 15 prospective new members interested in either area of our organization. While the competitive roster for Nationals has not been finalized yet, we have interest to help us fill those available spots. We look forward to getting to know our new members!
The team is always looking for more people, so if you are interested in joining contact us for more information at [email protected] or use the submission form available in the Contact Us section on this site.

FEB 25, 2012 - Urban Warfare Paintball to be ISU Paintball Home Field Sponsor
ISU Paintball is proud to announce its new sponsorship with local field Urban Warfare Indoor Paintball. The field offers an indoor scenario field and is opening a fully turfed indoor speedball field next door. This will be a great opportunity to practice all season regardless of the season or weather conditions and really develop our players during the 2012-2013 season.
FEB 15, 2012 - ISU Paintball to Field a Recreational Group
Since the team formed in 2001, ISU Paintball has grown into a highly competitive team regardless of what NCPA division we compete in or the number of active members. While being competitive in the NCPA has and will still be a strong focus within the team, we are also bringing our attention to the main aspect that unites our members: the interest in playing paintball. With this in mind, ISU Paintball decided to add a Recreational Group to the organization. This will allow us to serve a wider range of students and help us to further promote the sport on campus and local community. We hope that by implementing recreational play that it will also help us develop and transition interested players into the competitive tournament format.
